7 QUESTIONS WITH CAITLYN JAMES

Without doubt Caitlyn James is a first ballot CPW Hall Of Famer after a glittering career so far both behind the mic and as a legendary manager and we at CPW Media got the chance to ask her 7 Questions

Q.1 Hello Caitlyn, Thank you for sitting for 7 Questions, lets get to it. A lot of The current CPW would not know your background in wrestling can you tell us how you got into the business and what led you to CPW?

That’s because many of the galaxy only care about themselves but I am happy to educate them on what made me the greatest CPW manager of all time. Well, I started training to wrestle when I was 15 years old after going to a wrestling training in Birmingham with a friend (who stopped training shortly after). I then moved to a closer promotion in Rugby and continued to attend with my brother joining me a few years later.

When I started there were a lot less opportunities for female wrestlers so I was the only girl at my wrestling promotion.

I started as a manager for a wrestler in that promotion, even going on to hold the heavyweight championship of the promotion at one point. Though I never had a match against another woman. Only the guys. I met and worked with Axel there also. He’s like a brother to me.

I stepped back from active training after about 5 or so years to pursue other ventures.

A few years later Axel contacted me and said that he was head trainer for a training school at a promotion called CPW and invited me to come down and start training again.

I wanted to actually have a proper match against another female and this seemed like a good opportunity for that so I started training until I was ready to step back in the ring and have my first 1 on 1 match.

Q2 – There was the infamous incident early in your CPW career with the the Lizzy Styles, can you explain from your perspective what happened and how it affected your future at that time as in ring performer?

As I mentioned I was new to wrestling matches when I was in a feud with Lizzy. She was also very young and she was hungry for success. There was a miscommunication during one of our matches and so it didn’t finish the way we had hoped. She was quite upset by this. It knocked my confidence as a performer and I wasn’t happy with how the situation was handled but again, she was young and I was inexperienced. She’s doing fantastic things on the wrestling circuit now and has grown a lot from where she was back then.

Q.3 – You returned for what was your final match against Chantal Jordan in 2023, how did that come about? and how did you feel leading into the match and the after the match once you realised that it could be the very last time you lace up the boots in competitive action?

I had been asked to return to the ring on many occasions but due to injuries sustained over the years of high contact hobbies and sports I have taken part in, it has just not been feasible. I had never had a proper retirement match in my first CPW run. I looked up to a lot of the girls we had in our locker room and wished I could have had them around when I started my journey. I knew they would be able to help get me through one more match and my injuries were manageable. I started training again to prepare and Chantal is such a phenomenal talent, having the opportunity to have a feud with her was one I couldn’t pass up. I was excited and nervous, I had a lot of my friends come to support me in the crowd. I was really happy with how the match went and when it was all over, it felt like the right time to say goodbye to in ring competition. I felt a great sense of support and achievement and that I was happy with what I had accomplished as an in ring performer.

Q4 – Before we get into your current position in CPW, Who would be on your Mount Rushmore of CPW Lionesses?

Hmmm, well really it should be me on there. Why? Because if you think about it I was the first ever lioness that was trained by CPW and held the CPW Women’s Championship. Whether you like it or not, I am a firm part of CPW’s history. After that, Chantal – because why wouldn’t she be there? Kat Von Kaige – bestie and amazing talent and I hate to say it but Emma Cross – current home grown lioness who has held the titles. Bet that will go straight to her head though

Q.5 – Now lets talk The Enterprise, It’s been one hell of a ride thus far right?

Ah my favourite subject, hasn’t it just? Nobody expected me to join The Enterprise and the looks on all your faces will live in my head as one of my most treasured moments. But it was inevitable. After all my history in CPW, not even covering the announcing, commentator, door staff part. I have done so much for this company, so many different roles…and for what? The Enterprise appreciate me and treat me with the respect I deserve and never got from any of you.Text

Our experience. Between us we have such a comprehensive and versatile pool of knowledge and experience, that is completely unique to us as a group and I believe has lead to our success as a team. We all know the end goal and want to fight for it.

Q7 – History 13 is just around the corner so we want to know when the History smoke has cleared are The Enterprise still on top?

In one way or another, yes we will be on top. See, holding the gold and winning is a bonus for us. What the simple minds of the galaxy won’t understand is that winning everything doesn’t necessarily mean your ‘on top’, there is so much more to it, win or loose we will still be at the top of the CPW mountain as the most dominant team in CPW history. Everything else is just a flourish..

Thank you for your time Caitlyn good luck for the rest of 2026

It’s going to be interesting, that’s for sure.
